Il VOLO come with their new program AD ASTRA

The famous Italians are visiting Sofia on November 2 in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture

Their voices are known and applauded by audiences of millions. They popularized Italian bel canto around the world, and even as children they shared the stage with some of the biggest stars of world music. They repeatedly sell out the biggest halls in the world.

They are favorites of the Bulgarian audience with completely sold-out concerts in the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv, in the Arena Hall and their concerts in Varna, three years in a row. Each time enthusiastically welcomed by the audience due to the explosive emotion of their magnificent voices and charismatic stage presence.

This time IL VOLO come to Bulgaria to present their new album AD ASTRA, part of their world tour. Their concert will be on November 2, 2024, in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture. This is the first return of IL VOLO to Hall 1 of the NDK after their debut in Bulgaria in 2017. and is long awaited by their fans in Sofia.

AD ASTRA is the trio's first album with completely new original songs (except for Who Wants to Live Forever). It was released at the end of March, following their participation in the 74th edition of the San Remo Competition with their song Capolavoro, marking the culmination of their 15-year career. AD ASTRA is a true masterpiece, combining the three different and complementary personalities of Gianluca Ginoble, Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto. This is a unique recording project created by some of today's most famous songwriters and musicians - tracks that bridge the past and present, and with an eye to the future.

Their program will also include classic famous pieces from their 15-year repertoire, emblematic to the Italian music, but also their solo performances from the world musical treasury, with which the three musicians individually show their individuality and personal musical preferences.

Their incredible voices were discovered at the age of 15 at a song contest, and then began the stunning career of the three boys from small towns in Sicily and Abruzzo, which continues to this day. They are called heirs of the three tenors and have performed in the biggest concert halls from Europe to America, Japan, Australia and Latin America. They have multiple gold and platinum albums, two Latin Grammy nominations and millions of fans worldwide.

In 2015 grabbed the San Remo grand prize with the emblematic Grande Amore, with which they also won the audience's vote in Eurovision 2015. Their mentors are the three tenors, in whose honor and support they released their album Notte Magica – A Tribute to the Tree Tenors featuring Plácido Domingo. The albums Musica, 10 Years followed in celebration of their stunning career. They repeatedly fill Arena di Verona, Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall in New York. In 2022 they created the project in honor of the great Italian composer Ennio Morricone and the album Il Volo Sings Morricone - a tribute to film music, beloved by many generations, with which they also toured in Bulgaria.

In May of this year, in three sold-out concerts at the Arena di Verona under the title Tutti per Uno, Il VOLO partnered on stage with some of the most famous artists from the Italian music scene. And with a big concert in Rome at the Baths of Caracalla at the beginning of June, they started their AD ASTRA world tour.
