Due to the huge interest and the sold out first six dates originally announced, the organizers from add eight new performances to the schedule from April 16 to 21 in Hall , NDK , Sofia.

The performance is recognized as one of the most beautiful and spectacular productions in history, watched by over 160 million people in 186 cities around the world, performed in 19 different languages. "Broadway's Biggest Hit" and "Triumph of the Show" media state about it.

The Bulgarian audience will see the original London and New York production by Cameron Mackintosh. It is Broadway's longest-running show, more than 35 seasons with the incredible 14,000 performances. It is the winner of over 70 prestigious theater awards, including seven Tony Awards and four Olivier Awards.

The cast that will come to Bulgaria includes Nadim Naaman in the role of the Phantom, Harriet Jones and George Wilkinson (Christine), Lara Martins (Carlotta), Valerie Kutko (Madame Giri) and others with Dr. John Rigby conducting.

The London cast's original recording became the first in British musical history to reach No.1 in the charts, selling more than 40 million copies worldwide to become the best-selling recording of a musical of all time.

"The Phantom of the Opera" comes to Sofia by agreement with Really Useful Group. This is Cameron Mackintosh's original London and New York production. Really Useful Group is Andrew Lloyd Webber's company that produces and promotes his music worldwide, including some of the most successful and longest-running musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Sunset Boulevard.

"The Phantom of the Opera" performances are from April 11 to 14, 2024 in Sofia, Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture.
